superstitions

I don't konw if I necessarily believe in superstitions but I don't like to test them out. Such as the Macbeth curse, all of the unfortunate events tha thave happened are strange coinicidences so they seem suspicious but who's to say if they're just coinicidences or not? Even though they could be true or could not be true I don't go out of my way to avoid "bad luck" nor to I encourage it. I have noticed tha tpeople who believe in supertitions the most are athletes. My family is a hockey family and my little brother is the goalie and it is a rule that if the game is going well one DOES NOT say the word "shut out" until the game is completely over because they all believe that if someone says it during the game the shut out will go out the window. Also I think every single player on the team has a lucky something that they always wear, if my brother eats a certain thing and then plays a great game he will insist on having that particular food before every game. I believe in things like spirits, ghosts, and maybe even psychics and mediums because how can you ever know for sure if it's fake or not? Sure it may sound ridiculous but what proof is out there to contradict or agree with these things to have a concerte answer? That's why it's called the unknown.
