latin phrases

I love latin phrases I think they are so deep and are good thoughts to keep in mind throughout life. Such as "alis volat propiis" which means "she flies with her own wings" I think this is a good thing to remember thorughout life because you need to remember that you can do anything you set your mind to and its important to believe in yourself and be independent. Also "Candor dat viribus alas" which means serenity gives wings to strength. I really like this quote and it's important to me because when my older brother was going through alcohol and drug rehab they put an incredible emphasis on serenity and the serenity prayer I try to remember the serenity prayer when I'm going through a particular stressful time or when I'm just frustrated or irritated and it helps me calm down. I also think that the latin language is a beautiful language.
